A REWARD of RM5,000 has been offeed by the Norwegian Bjorkhaug family for the return of their beloved pet Shih Tzu “Chip”, which was dognapped through their front gate last week.
“The RM5,000 reward is for the individual who brings Chip back,” said Oyvind Bjorkhaug, 55. “If anyone can tell us a location where Chip is and if we do indeed find Chip based on that information, that person will be rewarded.
“We are hoping that this move will help us to locate Chip and people who really have the information will come forward to help us.”
The couple had previously hired private investigators to help them search for Chip, who was forcefully pulled through a four-inch pet-exit in the front gate of the house at Taman TAR in Ampang.
The abduction was captured on the couple’s security camera, footage which Ampang Jaya CID chief DSP Goh Lee Fook described as being not very clear but would still help in the investigations. The couple have enlisted the help of a friend to sharpen the CCTV images using computer software.
Goh also added that police will be searching at pet shops to see if the puppy was now on sale.
