Govt To Further Lower Prices

The Government is looking for more ways to lower the prices of essential commodities in rural areas in the state.

Deputy Energy, Water and Communications Minister Datuk Joseph Salang Gandum said the ministry, through the domestic trade and consumer affairs ministry, had identified several ways but was looking for more.

We want the rural people to buy those essentials at prices their urban counterparts pay for," he said at a meet-the-people session organised by the Special Affairs Department at Rh. Senabung in Sungai Kura near here today.
