As such the 10 families in Pujut Padang Kerbau 1 would be relocated to safer grounds or asked to squat with relatives until the weather conditions improve to prevent any untoward incident.
Meanwhile, Murang, the Miri disaster relief committee chairman, reminded residents in Canada Hill and surrounding areas to be on the alert for further landslides. Murang also instructed the Public Works Department and the Land and Survey
Department to carry out checks on all residential areas in the area and nearby slopes.
He said a report on the matter would be submitted to Dr Chan, who is the state disaster relief committee chairman.
This was the first landslide as far as i now at Canada Hill. What the message i want to share here is please keep yourself in alert when its come to non-stop raining especially to those who live near the hill area, an extra pre-caution can minimized any lost of life. Be careful...
