Your Life MESS if You Dealed with ALONG!

Hi all, its been 1day i am not updating this blog too busy with my real life JOBS!!..So, the latest story i want to highlight is Licensed money lender.. or we called it Ah-Long.

Nowadays, world economy goes down and thousand people lost their jobs so the trouble will come. U got no job, got no money to run ur normal life; To skip this matters there's always a chances. To have Money on that particular time, we can get it from Bank, or any other Licensed money lender company; this is one of the solution -- Personal Loan/Shark Loan!!

http://ari3f.files.wordpress.com/2008/03/loanshark_large.jpg

--------------------------------------------------------------------
Info site :
Bank : Required full details before approved any loan application.
Licensed Money Lender : Normally 99.9% Approved by their owned personal view. (Thats why u can get money as fast as 60mins !!!)

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Just a moment ago, i am watching tv3 News bout this topic also regarding the rising numbers of advertisement by Licensed money lender who 'willing' to help ppl by advanced some cash to who needed, when we look on this directly its sound good, despite this massive economy situation there were still 'willing' to help others to rebuild what they want.

http://www.dclabor.org/ht/a/GetImageAction/i/48421

But when u think wisely then u will figure some of the fact like; percentage of their interest is MUCH HIGHER than normal rate, The processing charges IS MUCH HIGHER Than normal Proffesional Bank charges , their will hold your bank card until u cleared ur bills with them! And when it come to no payment from borrower, u might be in big TROUBLE!
I told u this Loan shark ppl are much cruel!

Paul Whitehouse
Loan Shark Victim : Paul Whitehouse, aged 21, He had borrowed £800 from Walker, who then claimed he owed him £2,000 because of interest charges.

In Malaysia -Normally, the loan shark will not take any legal action to their borrowers, they will use their own rule!! Thats the only problem that u must think first before signing any agreement with them, u must planned everything well before joining them, when its come to trouble let say u failed to pay back their money, u will be in big danger.

I am not 100% told that this licensed money lender totally gangsters! Well, u also need to think for a while, they come helping u to go up, and u must pay what they service has been given to u, then the problem will not happen when everything goes right. am i correct?

The only thing i really hate this loan shark, their interest is tooooo much higher, some of them using gangster service to threaten borrower whos not attend to pay their service on time.

I heard on radio news also this afternoon, told that Licensed Money Lender is one of the top SILENT KILLER!.. so, be careful when u deal with them, lets everything goes black and white and not BLood.....

We got RULE.. am i rite?

Petrol price down, but prices of food and services still high!

DOMESTIC Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad is probably right when he stated this week that “the hawkers know that there will always be customers even if they raise their prices.”

But what choice do consumers have when hawker fare is still the cheapest around. Office workers, students and others who regularly eat out are dependent on hawkers and coffee shops for their meals. We can say that most are in a way forced to patronise these outlets even when they know they are being fleeced.

Let me share this situation with you. The nearest eatery to my HQ office in Kuala Lumpur is a mamak shop. When my colleagues and I want a quick meal, we will patronise the shop. When it rains or when we feel lazy to drive elsewhere for lunch, we will have our meals there. Tea breaks are also spent there. So we can be considered regulars in the mamak shop.

As time went by, many of us became good friends with the shop owner. He is actually a nice guy — only that I never like his business ethics (as if there is any ethic at all?) The trouble with this fellow is that he never has a price list for the food and drinks he sells. My colleagues and I used to talk about the matter and whined over it privately. I suppose we were too nice to tell him he has been overcharging us right in his face.

On one occasion, I politely mentioned to him that he could attract more customers if he were to charge not more than RM6 for a simple lunch. Not many office workers can afford a RM8-10 lunch everyday.

Charging RM1.30 for a small glass of teh tarik is steep. Previously, before the petrol price hike, it was only RM1. A can of Coke is RM2.20 when it was RM1.80 previously. Roti canai becomes RM1.20 when it was 90 sen. Nasi ayam is sold at RM6 when it was RM5. Mee goreng becomes RM5 when it was RM3.50. The list goes on.

For a while, I think my friend took heed of my advice. On and off, I still have my lunch in his shop and I could see that he was extra careful with my bill. However, I was really unhappy with him on one occasion when he billed three of my friends RM35 for a simple lunch in his shop. At most, it could not be more than RM25.

This is something which we can call ‘cut throat’ business. I think many coffee shops are involved in such unethical practices. But I suppose this is how our small-time business people survive in the rather competitive kopi tiam environment. At every opportunity, they will go for the ‘kill’. That is not right, of course and the best way to discourage such practices is not to patronise these outlets.

This week, my friend in Kuching rang me to say that consumers are really fed up with being fleeced by traders — be they in the supermarkets, coffee shops or the laundrettes. He likened it to being robbed in broad daylight.

He lamented that although the petrol price has gone down several times over the past few months, goods and services are still as high as ever.

This is a phenomenon throughout the country and I believe it’s the same everywhere in the developing world. There is always the excuse and reason to raise prices of goods and services whenever there is a petrol hike. However, when the petrol price goes down, there is no corresponding decrease in the prices of goods and services.

Unfortunately, it is not easy for the government to clamp down hard on such an unfavourable situation for consumers as Shahrir explained this week.

He said he was willing to give the benefit of the doubt to traders who do not lower the prices of their goods despite the petrol price reduction.

“Manufacturers have explained that prices of goods will only come down around the first quarter of next year as they were still utilising materials bought previously,” he was quoted as saying in a national daily.

However, if the traders refused to slash prices later, Shahrir said he would “persuade” them to do so as reasonable prices would in return encourage demand among consumers.

The ministry, he said, would also review licences given to wholesalers supplying essential goods as checks revealed that they were imposing unreasonable conditions on traders.

Shahrir added that wholesale companies were still charging higher prices although they were enjoying diesel subsidies from the government.

I think this is another area where the government should pay attention to. Action must be taken against suppliers if they have been operating in an unethical way despite receiving the ministry’s contribution.

There is really this concern among our rural populace for they are the ones who feel the pinch most if the prices of essential commodities continue to increase.

Indeed, the government must ensure that its efforts to standardise the price of essential goods in towns and villages, especially in rural Sarawak and Sabah, really works.

I’m glad to learn that Shahrir’s ministry is now assessing transportation costs to the remote areas in Sabah and Sarawak which were difficult to access. The minister said that the government was aware that fuel prices in some remote areas in Sarawak were about three times higher than those in towns as they could only be transported by boat.

We would all be very happy for our rural brethren if shops in rural communities are able to sell goods at prices similar to those in major towns with the government subsidy.

The only worry is that along the way, there could be unscrupulous parties out to make a quick profit at the expense of our rural folks. This, the government must take pains to prevent.

I’m not sure what else we, consumers, can do to prevent ourselves from paying more than is the actual price for the items and services we require. I suppose the only way is to ‘shop smart’.

Michelle Obama's Frugal Fashion Sense

The Isabel Toledo dress is teamed with olive J.Crew gloves and a pair of Jimmy Choos (Photo: Reuters)

If you think you had problems picking out an outfit this morning for work, imagine what Michelle Obama must have gone through selecting what she should wear to her husband's inauguration.

She had to exude glamour without looking like she shelled lots of money for the outfit. In this bleak economic climate, you can't afford to look frivolous (unless of course if you are Mariah, J.Lo or Beyonce).

While there have been mixed reviews on what the First Lady wore for the inauguration in the morning, we have to applaud her for picking (relatively) unknown designers for the big day.

For the morning session, the First Lady picked a lemongrass sheath by little-known Cuban-American designer, Isabel Toledo. "I wanted to pick a very optimistic colour, that had sunshine. I wanted her to feel charmed, and in that way would charm everybody else,” the designer told The New York Times.

And for the parties at night, Michelle chose (and the critics approved) a one shouldered Grecian-inspired ballgown with a ruched bodice designed by Taiwan-born, Jason Wu.

Jason Wu's dress is studded with Swarovski crystals. For accessories, Michelle Obama wears drop-earrings, an oversize cocktail ring and a diamond bracelet. (Photo: Reuters)

The 26-year-old New York-based designer explained. "There’s no muss, no fuss. It worked because she’s not ornate. She’s fresh. But beyond that, I think she’s made an even bigger statement by wearing brands that are more budget-conscious."

Sure, it would have been easier to pick outfits from established designers like Vera Wang, Chanel or Oscar de la Renta, but this First Lady prefers taking chances and looks like it is paying off.

CSS Code of a blog hold design attributes (like font color, column size, background color etc) of various parts of blog. Compressing this code can result in faster blog and little saving in bandwidth.

With so make theme and template designers out there, everyone has own style of coding stuff. Some template may contain ‘bad hair day’ kind of CSS code with characters spread all over.

CSS compression does not delete any part of CSS code. It removes white spaces and better organizes each CSS element into one line. Before you perform CSS compression make sure you BACKUP CSS file (Wordpress) or Template (Blogger).

FOR WORDPRESS USERS
In Wordpress Dashboard, click on ‘Design’ tab > ‘theme editor’. Click on Stylesheet (Style.css) located at bottom right part of the screen. Copy - paste contents in a notepad file for back up purpose. Now open CSS Drive online compression tool.

80,000 lose jobs in US and Europe, Iceland govt collapses

80,000jobless!! Wow.. scared me to the death!

THE world went dark for a while as a partial solar eclipse occurred on the Lunar New Year. The sun shone through again but for many parts of the United States, Europe and Asia, the gloom is here to stay.

A wave of job cuts hit major American and European companies which are facing lower demand for their products and even a government collapsed.

Heavy equipment maker Cater-pillar, Dutch financial services giant ING, Dutch electronics giant Philips Electronics and home improvement retailer Home Depot were among the large corporations which announced yesterday that they would shed a total of 80,000 jobs as business conditions deteriorate and profits dip.

Iceland has also been forced to seek a new coalition after the government and its prime minister resigned amid huge protests over the country’s dire economic state.

Job cuts have worsened as economies sour as a result of the global financial crisis, which now threatens to see economic growth in the United States, Europe and Japan contract in 2009.

http://www1.whdh.com/images/news_articles/389x205/080606_unemployment_generic.jpg

But, For Malaysian employees, there was a silver lining of sorts. A job survey by a consultant has found that Malaysian employees feel more secure about their prospects compared to their counterparts in Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Chi-na, Japan and South Kor-ea.

http://www.theratandmouse.co.uk/weblog/20070615cliff-1.jpg

I hope so this thing will not go to far beyond control.. huhuhu.. This is the worse economy crisis than 1997 and 1988. someone please put some token to get ppl alive!

The Skinny On Lindsay Lohan

In a recent print ad for Fornarina, Lindsay looked fab. But look how thin Lindsay is now (inset pic).

Lindsay Lohan is back in the news but this time it is not about her alledged breakup with girlfriend Samantha Ronson, or her hard partying ways. New photos of LL have surfaced on the Internet showing the actress looking thin and unhealthy. So thin that her ribs are protruding and showing against her clothes.

What's wrong with LL? Her publicist assures the public that LL has not returned to her calorie-counting ways (a few years ago, she told Vanity Fair that she starve herself in order to lose weight) and added that the dramatic weight loss is down to stress.

"Lindsay is aware that she's lost some weight due to stress, but we recently did a photo shoot and she ate two full meals," the rep said.

Two full meals of what, got any idea??? :)

A (Belated) Word About "Sex"

New York mag's "the Cut" has an item up about how designer Vivienne Westwood--whose wedding dress plays a key role in the first Sex and the City movie--is angling to write the screenplay for the sequel. "the Cut" is all for it, noting that, with actors frequently dabbling in design, turnabout is fair play; and besides, we all know that the main pleasure of the movie is the clothes "and it hardly matters what happens in the plot as long as there are some fun montages involving clothes and shopping and hot shirtless guys."

http://www.cartoonstock.com/newscartoons/cartoonists/mly/lowres/mlyn247l.jpg

Let me take this a step farther. I think Westwood should be given a shot at the sequel on the assumption that she could not possibly produce a bigger, steamier pile of crap than the first movie. Seriously, having been advised by multiple gals to avoid the film, I finally got around to watching it last week. Truly, weirdly awful in that can't-look-away-it's-so-tacky kind of way.

I'd heard much about the movie's label porn--which was indeed so egregious as to surprise me even with ample forewarning. You know a film is special when its most heartfelt moment involves a narcissistic, label-obsessed New Yorker presenting her spunky, label-obsessed Midwestern assistant with a Louis Vuitton handbag--a gesture of cultural noblesse-oblige that damn near brought tears to my eyes.

Beyond the relentless label pushing, I couldn't get over how mean the movie was to its main characters. A fat, sexually frustrated Samantha fighting with a flight attendant over the last bites of her desert. A hairy-crotched Miranda brittled up to the point of being a pure bitch who, apparently, deserved to get cheated on by her husband. Carrie morphing into some twittering society bride who lectures her groom in her best baby-doll tease about why her Vivienne Westwood frock demands that their wedding be turned into a circus. All the characters sniping at one another, ostensibly in a caring, sisterly way but coming across as something nastier and more tiresome. And the concept of Carrie and Big's reunion occurring only because she couldn't bear the thought of abandoning her brand spanking new Manolo Blahnik's in the gajillion-dollar closet he had designed for her might have been cute if only...I take that back. There is no circumstance under which that conceit isn't thudding and pathetic. At least poor Charlotte got away with only having to shit herself in public. (What are we,12-year-old boys?)

http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2019/2368244946_eff6aa0250.jpg?v=0

I'd give a more detailed accounting of what was so bad about it if it wouldn't mean watching the damn thing again in order to take it down properly.

I realize that SATC was a cultural phenomenon--a hip, stylish, candy-colored look at modern womanhood. But whatever it once was, the franchise has degenerated into a garish, vapid, mean-spirited parody of its former self. So why not give Westwood a shot at the sequel? At least then no one will pretend that the movie is about love or friendship or sex or anything beyond the closetful of labels its heroine cherishes above all.

Prince Harry Got Dumped By Girlfriend

Chelsy Davy: Bye Bye Bye, Prince Harry.

So Prince Harry and his on-off-on girlfriend of five years, Chelsy Davy are off again. But what the British royal family didn't tell us is that it was SHE who ditched his royal highness. ("The pair parted amicably", claimed a royal source)

Yup, Chelsy got so tired of Harry's party animal lifestyle and lack of commitment in their relationship that she wanted out.

And she did it via FaceBook! "Prince Harry has always chosen his mates and rugby over Chelsy," says a close friend of the South African heiress. "Chelsy tolerated it until her prince charming started flirting with other girls behind her back."

Good for ya, Chelsy. But I bet our party prince will move on to his next target in no time.

Samsung D980 - Wow...!

COOL: The widgets on the D980 can be shuffled to a corner or moved to the sidebar widget holder.

If you are into hip looking gadgetry, you may want to consider the Samsung D980 just because it has a nifty touchscreen and is a solid little number.

When I was first asked to review the Samsung D980, I felt a surge of confused emotions.

I was not completely thrilled at this prospect as I have been an avid user of Nokia and Sony Ericsson my whole life, so reviewing a Samsung felt like going over to the dark side.

Samsung D980

Not only that, the thought of learning a new user interface freaked me out. People will say, “You’re in your twenties. You should be able to soak up and learn all things thrown at you,” but clearly they have not known me long enough. When I was handed the D980 and the charger in its sparse box, I felt regret at having taken on this task. I mean, there were no instruction manuals or anything.

I double checked with the copy editor and I was told that this was a review model and thus there was no need for all the extra accoutrements that come with a D980 normally.I clearly remembered the panic rising and my throat tightening as I walked back to my desk.

Sitting at my desk, I apprehensively held the D980 in my hand. And as I turned it around, inspecting and admiring its glossy mirror surface, loving how it sat comfortably in my palm, I felt my fears dissipate and dissolve, a smile slowly creeping onto my face. The smile was short-lived when I realised there was no keypad, the fear beginning to claw at my innards again.

But that disappeared and I felt the calm within me once more when I turned on the D980, dazzled by its bright and attractive 2.6in screen and realizing it is a touch screen mobile phone.

COMPACT: The back of the D980 resembles a full-featured camera and has a glaringly bright flash and video camera function.

The responsive touchscreen is really great. Samsung aptly terms this feature Touch Wiz. By gliding your finger on the screen or using a stylus, you can move widgets, which must be the coolest thing ever on a phone. These widgets are basically things you want easy access to on the desktop of your phone. They float and can be shuffled to a corner or be sent to the sidebar widget holder.

It can range from a clock, incoming messages, games, radio, the notepad, music player to your calculator, for example. To me, it is unique as I have not experienced this yet on a Nokia or a Sony Ericsson.

There is also a sidebar at the top of the screen. By tapping the top of the screen, you will be able to access your inbox, music player, SIM cards, web browser and Bluetooth which is really handy as these are commonly used applications.Besides being very clear and sharp, the colours on the screen are vibrant and pleasant to the eye.

However, the mirrored and glossy surface of the D980 attracts a lot of unwanted smudges and thumbprints so I was irked slightly when I saw how murky the screen got sometimes. I spent a lot of time wiping the touchscreen. The D980 can hold two SIM cards simultaneously but not only that, I can use both SIM cards at the same time so I have two phone lines running concurrently.

Basically I am carrying a 2-in-1 phone. And it was the first thing I learned about it when I turned it on — the phone prompted me to insert my SIM cards so that it could configure itself to accommodate both cards. So this phone is real handy for those who have to tote two mobile phones around for work or for leisure.

The D980 reduces the number of phones you carry around but allows you access to two SIM card contacts and phone lines at the same time. This also means I can send and receive messages from both phone lines. I guess it is also good for those of us who have secrets to hide and who need two phone lines rather than one.

Did I mention this phone allows you to have two phone lines in one phone?

The downside to this extremely cool feature is that the D980’s inbox, outbox and sent box can only hold a total of 200 messages or 240 messages if you count your SIM card storage space which is not very much considering the amount of text messages we send out everyday.I text quite a bit and it was literally a joy sending messages on this phone.

I was at first hesitant as I am used to keypad style messaging and thought I would never be able to formulate my words fast enough with a stylus but was I surprised when I wanted to text message someone with the D980.When you create a message, a keypad comes up with fat buttons so you do not require the stylus but can easily use your fingers to type away. The screen is also sensitive enough so I was able to effortlessly send and reply my messages.

The D980 is a handsome phone. Although it may resemble previous Samsung models in terms of its build and mirrored surface quality, it is slightly smaller and more compact. It will fit any trendy lady or suave man. Truly, it is a sexy phone.

I found the menu straightforward and effortless to understand. In fact, I got the hang of this phone instantly which is most surprising considering my learning curve with phones.I fell in love with its simple menu and directory system, everything was within reach of each other and it was not difficult to do the things you want to with the phone.

I was also very grateful that most of the buttons and apps were finger friendly which made using the phone so much simpler.I can get quite clumsy with the thin, insignificant stylus so I was glad that it was hardly required. This really made the phone one of the best I have used in awhile.

The 5-megapixel camera is also fun to use because it is almost like a full compact camera with features you can fiddle with such as 15 Scene modes, ISO settings, white balance, face detection, shooting modes and resolution sizes of the photos. It also has a flash which is glaringly bright. The camera also acts as a video camera so it makes this D980 a real multimedia powerhouse.

The volume on the D980 is loud and clear. I was able to compose music with the keypad tones which is extremely fun.Although it does irritate those around you when you are typing a message, it is unique to Samsung phones.

I wake up to the alarm on the D980 and so far have not overslept once. Ok, maybe once.Although I cannot gush enough about the Samsung D980, there is a major disappointment to the phone.

With its bright coloured screen and its fabulous responsive touchscreen, it is most depressing that the phone does not have WiFi.

If only it allowed for wireless connection to the Internet, this phone would be a clear winner beating its competitors hands down.Although you can connect to the Internet using EDGE, it will be slow and expensive.

The D980 is a phone that will attract the younger crowd. It looks good and is easy to use. Menus and applications get the job done quickly.I reflect on how anxious I was when I was initially handed the D980 and yet I fell in love with it once I turned it on for the first time.I now feel quite foolish and dread having to give it back.

Pros: Dual-SIM; responsive touchscreen; on-screen keypad, nice interface.

Cons: Screen attracts smudges and thumbprints; small inbox for messages; no WiFi.

Nasaruddin - Join PKR

PR leader sleep well tonight.. after one of UMNO leader joined PR, makes PR now have 32 assemblymen while BN having one fewer at 27.

The amount still not strong enough for Perak CM to smile. The main fact for Nasaruddin quitting UMNO and BN due to political developments and people’s support for the Opposition during the general election and the current situation in Umno.

So, i think that's the first thing for him to save her altitude and to shake or politic arena!! hehe.. but as i listened on his statement on TV3 a moment ago he told that he's leaving UMNO also get fully-support by his people of Bota, so , i guess this is totally bring UMNO to the massive PROBLEM lolol..

In reply of his quitting, our TPM -Vice Prime Minister - DS Najib made a special press conforence at his owned house, to explain that UMNO are going good, no problem, their keep updating on their routine activity to helped people. and bla bla bla....

Big decision: Nasarudin speaking to the press as Anwar listens
at PKR’s office in Petaling Jaya yesterday.

For me Malaysia politics is not very profesional! They only aimed the POWER and MONEY!! Keep busy treating people only during election period, after that vanished in the bush i guess.. hahaha.. No news at all!! esp. here at my area 2Times i am not ever thing to 'X' on BN column.. haha.. Its clear.. what they do, they will deserved it right??

But still, I don't really understand why this politics people are not profesional as US? We should learned from them! They served people well.. but Not like us!

We will see .. who will win the competition.. :)

  • There are 154 steps from the pedestal to the head of the Statue of Liberty.
  • A tablet held in her left hand measures 23' 7" tall and 13' 7" wide inscribed with the date JULY IV MDCCLXXVI (July 4, 1776).

  • At the feet of the Statue lie broken shackles of oppression and tyranny.
  • During the restoration completed in 1986, the new torch was carefully covered with thin sheets of 24k gold.
  • The exterior copper covering of the Statue of Liberty is 3/32 of an inch thick (less than the thickness of two pennies) and the light green color (called a patina) is the result of natural weathering of the copper.

Kugan... Killed while under Police detainee

I think those Malaysian know what was happen a few days ago at Brickfield Police in KL. Kugan, an Indian local Malaysian, was believed by their family this is the first case against him that get caught by Police on 15th Jan 2009.

The 22-year-old Kugan died in police custody on Tuesday while being questioned in relation to several luxury car thefts. I think some police should take some rest in doing their jobs, of course in doing investigation we need more patience, more relaxing, creative, and high I-Q in doing this despite the fact that police officer need to use their power to force their detainee to tell the truth.

But, for me we could not totally put our fingers to the police itself. No one wants trouble! even the massive case like Atlantuya till now no solution regarding this case.

So, let the judge do the thing, and regarding Kugan’s family members on their action going into the Serdang Hospital mortuary to view the body as it could be considered tampering with evidence, no comment 'bout this.

In addition, the good news is the attorney-general TS. Abdul Gani Patail has asked the police to classify the death of suspected car thief A. Kugan as murder for investigation purposes, and TS. Musa Hasan also guaranteed full investigation will be carried out into the death.

But the fact is, Indian are really angry with this issue. Thanks to A-G at least Kugan's parents get a better news.

What I am try to share here is we do have limit of time, by rushing time to finished all the things clear as early as possible we cannot use any illegal action, if found you should know the consequences. Just like this case, I really not happy with what was happen with Kugan's, if its true he killed by police well I think we cannot depend to police anymore, we need more safety other than this!!! But if its wrong, only God knows Why.. we dont know Kugan's guilty or not.. he's only suspected by Police.

Well.. let the judge do the thing...

How Recognizing a STROKE???

Please have a look....This 5 min may save a life and lots of tears.....

My own mother was saved through recognizing these symptoms and was rushed to the Hospital immediately and it was a STROKE.

You could save a life.

STROKE:
Remember The 1st Three Letters... S.T.R.(SMILE-TALK-RAISE).
My friend sent this to me and encouraged me to post it and spread the
word. I agree. If everyone can remember something this simple, we could
save some folks.

A STROKE VICTIM:
During a party, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that
she was fine and just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.
(They offered to call ambulance but was brushed aside)

They got her cleaned up and
got her a new plate of food - while she appeared a bit shaken up,
Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening.
Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to
the hospital - (at 6:00pm, Ingrid passed away). She had suffered a stroke at the party. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today.

Some don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead. It only takes a minute to read this...

STROKE IDENTIFICATION:
A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours
he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke...totally. He said the
trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the
patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE:
Remember the '3' steps, STR. Read and Learn!
Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster.
The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke.

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by askingthree simple questions:

S* Ask the individual to SMILE..
T* TALK.. Ask the person to SPEAK A SIMPLESENTENCE (Coherently) (eg: 'It is sunny out today').
R* Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call the ambulance and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

NOTE : Another 'sign' of a stroke is
1.Ask the person to 'stick' out their tongue.
2.If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other that is also an indication of a stroke.

Just keep passing the word around so that at least one life will be saved.
and it could be your own..

PASS IT ON.

There was this world famous painter. In the prime of her career, she started losing her eyesight. Fearful that she might lose her life as a painter, she went to see the best eye surgeon in the world.

After several weeks of delicate surgery and therapy, her eyesight was restored. The painter was so grateful that she decided to show her gratitude by repainting the doctor's office.

Part of her work included painting a gigantic eye on one wall. When she had finished her work, she held a press conference to unveil her latest work of art: the doctor's office.

During the press conference, one reporter noticed the eye on the wall, and asked the doctor, "What was your first reaction upon seeing your newly painted office, especially that large eye on the wall?"

To this, the eye doctor responded, "I said to myself 'Thank God I'm not a proctologist.'"

Becareful When Dust Goes To Your Eyes..

Dear Friends nice to meet you again, it's been 2days for me not online.. too busy with wmy jobs...ok..back to topic..Please Be very careful when u get caught with dust...as following pictures shows the effects of bad dust to a person. While he was talking he felt an eye irritation, thinking that it was just regular dust, he started to rub his eye, in an effort to remove the dust.... then his eyes got really red, and he went and bought some eye drops from a pharmacy....few days passed and his eyes were still red and seems a little swollen.

Again he dismissed it as the constant rubbing and that it will go
away. The days go by the swelling of his eye got worse, redder and
bigger....till he decided to go and see a doctor for a check up. The doctor immediately wanted an operation, being afraid of a tumor growth or cyst. At the operation, what was thought to be a growth or cyst, actually turned out to be a live worm..... what was thought
initially to be just mere dust actually was an insect's egg. If u do get caught dust, and the pain persists, pls go, see a doctor immediately........

Please check the attached photo

Kindly share this with all those who you CARE.......

Defective MyKads

JUST imagine the efficiency of the country’s administrative system whereby all information, including the marital record of an individual, can be accessed in a split second through a smart card.

In the MyKad, for instance, the date and place of marriage as well as the current marital status of an individual are stated. Such information can certainly help the authority quickly and effectively solve cases involving ‘matters of the heart’.

Moreover, the information can be useful to those who have lost their marriage certificate and are in need of a new one.

Many aspects, considered equally important, are said to have been incorporated in the MyKad which replaced the identity card (IC). These include details of driving licence, passport information, health status, e-cash, touch and go card, automatic cash withdrawal (ATM) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

The MyKad was mooted by former Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who wanted to create an electronic government with less usage of paper. It was first introduced in November 2000 and officially launched by then Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi on Sept 5, 2001.

The main objective of MyKad is to facilitate all transactions through a computer electronic system which is much more economical and safe. With advanced technology, transactions involving government agencies and the private sector can be done faster and with no fear of cheating.

This is because the PKI, incorporated in the smart card, is aimed at increasing the quality of the card’s safety features besides giving holders the confidence to carry out business transactions via the card or the Internet.

Nowadays, if a person is dealing with a bank or Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF), the officer-in-charge can immediately see and read the client’s fingerprint online for authenticity verification, thus avoiding the hassle of having to refer to the National Registration Department (NRD). Indeed, the MyKad is more than just an identity card.

All Malaysians hold a MyKad — a breakthrough technology implemented to bring Malaysia to the new era of technology.

The country can now be proud of having one of the most advanced systems in the world with the biometric MyKad, which has a chip containing all sorts of information about the holder.

Yes, it looks good and consolidates your identification and licence information and though it has many other applications, it is still not 100 per cent. So it should come as no surprise that many MyKads have been found to be faulty.

Now, most banks and driving schools have the card readers and probably only they can help clients detect if their MyKad is faulty.

A complainant, who only wished to be identified as Molad, said he only discovered his MyKad was faulty when opening a savings account with a bank in Kuching.

“My friend issued me a crossed cheque which had to be banked into my personal savings account but I didn’t have one then.

“So I went to the bank to open one but was told my Mykad could not be read,” he related.

Another holder known as Wilder was registering for a driving course in Kuching when he discovered the defects in his MyKad chip.

He had to pay RM20 for an alternative card and get his details registered with the Road Transport Department. Since he could be registered that way, he didn’t bother to change his MyKad.

A few months later, he went to open a savings account and was told he needed to change his MyKad as the chip could not be read.

Meanwhile, Ahong whose MyKad was also found to be faulty when he opened a savings account, lamented: “I just can’t understand it. They talk about having the most advanced technology but the defect in the chip does not reflect the high quality they are mentioning.”

These three complainants were not the only cardholders to have encountered defects. Many more had claimed they were facing the same problem.

Some noted that their photographs were fading even though their cards were brand new while there were also complaints of damaged plastic cards.

According to a state NRD source, the department is aware of many cards, especially the early batches, having some problems. However, it could not give the exact count on replacements in Sarawak.

“Many have applied for replacements. Poor handling and keeping are among the causes of defective chips and damages. The card should not be exposed to heat because this not only can spoil the chip but also the plastic and photo,” the source said.

“The chip cannot be kept in a hot place like in a car for too long and it has to be kept clean.”

A defective card can be replaced for RM10.

As reported in June last year, about 10 per cent of the 24 million MyKads issued since 2001 had been replaced after they were found to be faulty.

Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said most of the cases were recorded last year — with 888,495 replacements issued until October.

He said the main complaints were defective chips or damaged plastic cards.

Last year, the number of replacements stood at 769,674 and 204,572 in 2006.

In 2001, it was 32,670, followed by 24,131 in 2002, 16,678 (2003), 22,484 (2004), and 45,487 (2005).

Speaking to reporters after launching the MyDaftar programme at the International Youth Centre in Cheras earlier in the week, Syed Hamid said he was not happy with the number of faulty cards recorded, pointing out that the low number of damaged or defective MyKads in the first year (2001) compared to this year was due to the chip-based cards being made on a pilot project basis.

When it was pointed out that the number had jumped by almost twentyfold since 2005, he said: “The only explanation I can give you is the rollout.

“Coverage is more extensive. But I think this needs to be improved.”

He added that the National Registration Department (NRD) was continuously looking at ways to upgrade the MyKad — from security features to even the plastic compound used.

The MyKad is a piece of seven-layered plastic with an embedded microchip and has the dimensions of a standard credit card.

The original card is said to contain a 32Kb EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory) chip running on the M-COS (MyKad Chip Operating System) operating system.

In November 2002, the capacity was increased to 64Kb.

A register of all cardholders is kept by the NRD, which operates the MyKad system.

Malaysian citizens own a blue coloured card while that for permanent residents is red.

The MyKad project is said to have been developed at a cost of RM276 million and was originally intended to have four functions — identity card, including fingerprints and photo, driving licence, passport and storage for health information.

However, four more applications are said to have been added before or during its initial release.

These are e-cash (though with a limit of US$500, intended for low value but high volume transactions), ATM integration, Touch ‘n Go (Malaysia’s toll road tolling system and also public transport payment system) and digital certificate, commonly known as PKI (only supported by the 64kb version implemented by the end of 2002).

Presently, most of the functions are still not widely used because they are not widely promoted.

45,000 jobless after CNY

Human Resources Minister Datuk Dr S Subramaniam said some 45,000 workers in the manufacturing sector may temporarily be out of job soon as these factories cease operations for the festival. That really in a big amount. My company also in a big problem dude. How am i gonna solve my Thing!

Dr Subramaniam said some of these factories would shut down operations for two or three weeks and the workers were being asked to take leave, either on paid or unpaid leave, depending on their respective employers.“This (shut down) is because of a drop in demand for their products and because of that they (factories) have to temporarily terminate their workers,” he told reporters after opening the Agro Explosion 2009 Seminar & Workshop, here yesterday.

He said that as of Jan 12, 14,000 workers from various sectors lost their jobs because of the world economic slowdown, but that there were some 15,000 job vacancies in various sectors registered at the ministry.

On the protest by the National Union of Bank Employees (NUBE) and the Malaysian Trade Union Congress (MTUC) to the government’s plan to have a pension scheme for private sector employees through the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), Dr Subramaniam said it happened due to a misunderstanding.

“Actually, the ministry is thinking about the senior citizens who can no longer work and fend for themselves having used up their EPF money. We need a system to help this group of people,”

He said the government was studying the scheme and would gather feedback from various quarters before deciding the matter.

This is really bad news.. 45, 000 jobless..!!! i started to feel the 'pain' of this downturn economy now...hopefully this matter will end asAP!!!
